  • Each week a rehearsal schedule is issued to the parents and students which allows the participants an opportunity to experience a professionally based training program.
  • Scripts, scores, sheet music and/or scene work materials are issued to the students electronically and via hardcopy.
  • Regular training videos are posted online to assist students with review and personal practice.
  • As audition opportunities arise, students are coached and encouraged to “test drive’ their materials in the studio setting.
  • Participants are also encouraged to maintain their personal training in dance and vocal technique outside of StudioWorks. Director Brenda Gorlick aims to work in tandem with her professional colleagues in order to give the student a well-rounded performing arts education.

Opportunities

The goal of the program is to give students a professional experience in the musical theatre field. Throughout the season, students are given opportunities to participate in extra-curricular activities including: Winnipeg Music Festival (additional fees may apply), Fundraising Galas (Winnipeg Studio Theatre and others), flash mobs, and more.
Brenda is very engaged in the artistic community and is always sourcing new opportunities for her students. She also shares audition, performance and/or training opportunities throughout the season.
