Broadway Without Borders presents…..

Super Happy Awesome News

Two siblings launch rival good news networks and find themselves competing for the title of happiest news show. Soon, their correspondents are in a whirlwind of ecstatic musical reporting – from joyful weather forecasts, to cheerful cooking segments and blissful political updates!

Brenda Gorlick, Director – StudioWorks Academy & Stacee Tweedlie, Director- Riverside Theatre Company met remotely in the summer of 2020 in a program called Broadway Teachers Workshop – an online master class series for theatre educators. They developed a friendship online and continued the connection post workshops, deciding to create a collaborative program uniting theatre students across the globe. Hence, Broadway Without Borders was born! The virtual musical “Super Happy Awesome News” brings together 26 emerging artists from California and Canada who bring their energy, creativity and technology to the virtual stage. The Live-Streamed production will premiere on Wednesday, December 2nd at 8 pm on YouTube.

Broadway Without Borders Live Premiere – 8:00 PM CT

Dear Patrons,

Winnipeg Studio Theatre would like to thank you for your original purchase of tickets for Frozen Jr performances. However, due to the COVID-19 virus the production has been cancelled. Brown Paper Tickets is not returning calls and has not released our box office revenue from Frozen. We are taking steps to solve the issue but so far have not heard back from BPT at all.

To make things right WST is offering two options:
1)   Tickets to our upcoming Broadway Without Borders Live Stream performance on Dec. 1, 2020. Please email for the link.

2)    You can email WST at: and we will honour your tickets for another production in the future. Please include the number of tickets purchased and your order number if you have it.

3)    As a Non-Profit Organization, we ask that you consider donating the monies to help WST get through this challenging time. If this is your choice, no action is needed. If your purchase was over 50.00 we will issue a tax receipt when and if we receive the revenue from BPT.

Our goal is to still be here when this all passes. With your help we believe it is possible.
Thank you for your understanding, and we hope to see you at future performance.
